Host Families Host families are an opportunity to partner with SoCal Eagles’ summer ministries while meeting a huge need. Throughout the summer, we welcome college athletes from all over the country (and the world!) to play for our teams, serve in our summer ministries, and be equipped in sports ministry. Since our teams are not bound to local players, we expect to house 25-30 male and female athletes. As we do not have the means to do this ourselves, we are reaching out to invite our communities into this opportunity to serve and invest in our summer programs!
Who am I Hosting?
Summer Academy participants and players from our men’s and women’s teams. These will be college aged participants from all over the country and the world. Families can expect to host 2-3 athletes (either male or female).
Where and How Long?
Our summer ministries will be throughout Southern California this summer. We’re looking for host families in Fullerton, Brea, Yorba Linda, La Mirada, and Irvine. Participants will be here from May 10 - July 18 and will need a host family for the entirety of our 11-week program.
What am I Expected to Provide?
Besides a place to sleep, host families can expect to make breakfast food available and provide at least one family dinner a week. Host families are a vital part of the investment in our Summer Academy participants. We hope that besides just a place to sleep and eat, you are able to be a part of their experience of transformation throughout the summer.
