Urban Ministry
The SoCal Eagles equip and train missionaries to work and live in diverse and marginalized neighborhoods in urban areas of Southern California as coaches and neighbors to love, disciple, and empower youth. By providing soccer outreach in urban spaces, our hope is to provide a positive place of belonging and engagement for youth in the community.
Current Urban Programs
Valencia Park After-School Soccer
Every Wednesday throughout the school year, our staff offers a weekly free after-school soccer program to elementary students at Valencia Park Elementary School. We hope to be a consistent presence in the lives of our neighbors, starting in their school environments.
Block Parties
In the summers, our staff provides weekly neighborhood outreach in the form of block parties. This provides the time and space to connect with families, play soccer, share the gospel, and have fun.
Neighborhood Outreach
Throughout the year, our Urban Staff finds opportunities to go on prayer walks in the neighborhood, connect with kids and families through natural relationships, and create spaces for pickup soccer exactly where kids live.
Fullerton Rec League
Our staff provides weekly soccer programming for youth in the community to work on skill development, learn how to be a team player, and be exposed to both soccer and our ministry as an avenue for more future involvement.
Urban Long-Term Outreach
Middle and High School Teams
As Urban continues to grow in SoCal, our vision is to invite kids from our urban programs to be a part of our existing club teams, as well as create recreational teams to give youth opportunities to grow as individuals and as athletes.
Bible Studies
Alongside existing and future Urban programs, our urban staff desires to create weekly spaces to introduce people to Jesus Christ, teach them to follow Him, and empower them as leaders through the global environment of soccer.
Leadership Development Program
As our urban programs continue to grow for middle and high-school-aged youth, we want to equip and empower them to grow in their faith and spiritual leadership through opportunities to serve, run outreach programs, and study the Bible alongside their peers and coaches.
Partnership Opportunities
Churches
As we seek to create programs and space to better love and serve our neighbors through sports ministry, we are always eager to partner with churches. Having good connections with local churches allows us to point families to healthy churches they can attend and get plugged into.
We are looking for churches to be involved by providing meals for summer Block Parties and volunteering throughout the year at various events. We are also open to discussing ways your church can partner with us to do a Serve Day in our urban neighborhood.

Individuals
If you are passionate about sports ministry and desire to serve your neighbors, please fill out our volunteer application and we can share with you our current volunteer opportunities. Each of our missionaries on staff and living in our urban neighborhood raises support for a portion of their salary. You can directly impact our Urban Ministry by partnering with one of our staff.
